As Consulting Urban Forester of IFS Associates, Mr. Boyd brings a wealth of experience in forest management, urban forestry, woodland conservation and forest land-use planning.

Mr. Boyd has developed a diverse experience base in the area of forest management and forest science through experience with the University of New Brunswick/J.D. Irving Woodlands in New Brunswick, the Canadian Forest Service in Ontario and British Columbia, the British Columbia Ministry of Forests and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

Mr. Boyd’s strengths include his knowledge of, and experience in, a broad range of forestry disciplines including forest management, silviculture, research and development, forest land use planning and forest management on nationally significant historic sites. Mr. Boyd also brings a wealth of experience in project planning, management and in dealing with a broad range of client and stakeholder groups including governments, citizens, commercial, urban and rural clients.

Mr. Boyd is a past member of the Board of Directors and Landowner Committee of the Eastern Ontario Model Forest and the Arborist Advisory Committee at the University of Guelph’s Kemptville College. He presently sits on the Advisory Committee for the Arboriculture Program at the Pembroke Campus of Algonquin College and is currently a member of numerous professional associations, including:
